DRAW Strategy
The DRAW strategy is a way to help students with solving basic operational problems (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in a way which they can visually see (or in other words draw) the answer.
The DRAW strategy breaks down these problems into step by step methods, which the student can then follow to arrive at the correct answer. The steps are as follows and are according to the mnemonic of DRAW:
Discover the sign- the first step involves the student finding, circling and naming the sign that the problem is using
This strategy will help students who struggle with basic facts by breaking down the process into easy to follow steps and giving them a way to visually represent the problem.

- ex. +, -, x
- 1+2= -> one plus two equals
